Funder: Action 4 Health Uganda (A4HU)
This study is part of the TeamUp Uganda project, aimed at strengthening evidence-based advocacy for Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health (FP/SRH). It focuses on tracking government commitments, budget allocations, and actual expenditures to ensure that financial investments reflect policy priorities and community health needs. The analysis covers both national and subnational levels, with specific focus on Kassanda and Mityana Districts, to generate localized evidence that can guide advocacy and policy engagement for improved FP/SRH financing.
Objectives:
- Identify annual budget allocations for FP/SRH at both national and subnational levels.
- Assess actual expenditures on FP/SRH by government ministries, departments, and agencies.
- Generate actionable recommendations to support advocacy for increased and sustained FP/SRH financing
Expected Outcomes:
- Increased availability of reliable data on FP/SRH budget allocations and expenditures. 
- Strengthened evidence base for advocacy targeting improved FP/SRH funding and policy prioritization. 
- Enhanced stakeholder awareness and engagement in tracking and influencing FP/SRH financing decisions. 
- Integration of budget analysis findings into national and subnational advocacy strategies.
