Who we are

Samasha is a Global South Non-Governmental Organization incorporated in 2012 in Uganda. With headquarters in Uganda, Samasha has grown to implement projects in over 15 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia. These include Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea Mauritania, Benin, Indonesia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia.

Samasha has extensive expertise in advocacy and accountability, health system strengthening to support access to sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) services, and leveraging the commercial sector for increased access through innovations and technologies in RMNCAH 
Samasha’s core capacity lies in its ability to innovate and transfer capacities and skills to public institutions and civil society organizations for onward application to strengthen health systems in the areas of leadership and governance, access to medicines, health financing, service delivery, health workforce and health information systems.

Technical Expertise: Samasha’s technical team has accumulated years of experience implementing health interventions specifically focusing on Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent health and Nutrition (RMNCAH-N). Our interventions address Health System Strengthening specifically Reproductive Health Commodity Security and Health workforce; Health Financing, advocacy and accountability including resource tracking; and Health Technologies and Innovations.

Mission

To support and engage governments, development partners, civil society, and the private sector through policy advocacy, accountability, reproductive health commodity security, skills transfer, innovations, and partnerships to improve reproductive, maternal, newborn, child, adolescent health and nutrition (RMNCAH-N) health outcomes in the Global South.
