Funder: PATH

Samasha, with support from PATH, is implementing a targeted immunization demand generation project across Luweero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, and Kyankwanzi districts. The initiative aims to increase uptake of vaccines among zero-dose children by engaging local government and community structures, conducting human-centered design sessions with caregivers, addressing gender-related barriers, and using evidence from Behavioral and Social Drivers (BeSD) surveys. Special focus will also be placed on reaching pastoralist communities in hard-to-reach areas, ensuring no child is left behind.

This initiative underscores Samasha’s commitment to equitable immunization by ensuring every child, regardless of location or circumstance, has access to life-saving vaccines. By leveraging community engagement, data-driven approaches, and inclusive strategies, the project aims to close the immunization gap and build stronger, healthier communities across the targeted districts.
