Dr. Moses Muwonge, M.B.Ch.B
Dr. Moses Muwonge is a highly skilled professional with over 20 years of expertise in systems design, implementation of health logistics systems, and reproductive health programming. He possesses a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (M.B.Ch.B) degree, as well as a Master of Science in Health Information Science for Health Services Management from Warwick University, United Kingdom.
With a strong background in managing and evaluating family planning and reproductive health projects, Dr. Muwonge has successfully contributed to the development and execution of the annual evaluation of a 35 million pounds DFID project in Uganda. His involvement with prominent organizations such as Uganda Health Marketing Group and Marie Stopes International Uganda demonstrates his capability in overseeing and assessing large-scale initiatives.
As a seasoned consultant, Dr. Muwonge has collaborated with esteemed entities like UNFPA, DFID, World Bank, Ministry of Health (MOH), and various implementing partners across Uganda, Tanzania, Eritrea, Rwanda, Nigeria, Zambia and the global south. His broad expertise and adaptability enable him to make meaningful contributions to healthcare initiatives in diverse contexts.
Notably, Dr. Muwonge has played a pivotal role with support from partners like UNFPA to develop and assess the condom distribution strategy and guidelines currently implemented in countries like Rwanda. This experience showcases his dedication to enhancing reproductive health services and devising effective strategies for implementation.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Muwonge is the founder of Samasha Medical Foundation, a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Uganda.
